Amelia’s Vest

as vest

I made this vest for my little sister. The pattern is my own and all of the designs used in the different panels come from 200 Fair Isle Motifs A Knitter’s Directory By Mary Jane Mucklestone . It’s a bit small for her but it will fit her for the rest of this winter and maybe some of next fall. To make it I used only pieces of wool I already had left over from other projects. It was all worsted weight, most of it Paton’s using 5.25 mm needles. This was one of my first times doing colour work and it was a lot of fun to figure out each of the panels and I love how the corrugated ribbing around the bottom and the sleeves looks.
